Ghosts of New York City

Sitting at night in a cafe in New York City at the corner of 72nd Street and Amsterdam Avenue a few months before the Covid-19 virus outbreak, I stared out the window at the kaleidoscope of people, automobiles, and buildings all colliding together in an amazing, diverse mosaic of reflected shapes, lights, personalities, and energy. That, to me, is New York: endlessly changing, infinitely fascinating, visually stimulating—where everything happens at once. Now, with Covid 19, this is gone. Yet, remnants of this past life live on in these images; they are a testament to what the city once was, and will be, again.
