THE MYSTERY OF THE MUNDANE shows how the extraordinary is revealed through the ordinary. It is the collision of the random and the designed. It is the pieces and bits of stuff that I see in corners and shadows, left-overs that lurk behind doors, that fill bathtubs, that are thrown on couches, that capture my attention, that make me laugh, and sometimes scare me. It’s the impression left in the empty bedsheets by the body of my brother-in-law who died the night before.
Broken things fade as shadows crawl from the light, yet they still burn brightly within me. Not lost. No, never lost.
